DEAF SCHOOL STRENGTHENING PROGRAMME
The aim of this program is to impact deaf young adults in 2nd and 3rd tier cities by:
Promoting Indian Sign Language in schools
To encourage deaf students in primary, intermediate, including higher education to be using Indian Sign Language is a way of instruction.
Visual learning tactics are sometimes preferred by deaf
Teaching students in the Deaf schools and teaching enabling programs such as Basic English Literacy and Indian Sign Language (ISL)
Sign Language Interpreters' Training
Conducting Sign Language Sessions for the hearing teachers of these deaf schools, who in turn can teach the students using Sign Language.
Short Term Training Programs
Conducting short-term trainings for work-place ethics and soft skills and facilitating employment in their home towns itself.
